
Minister Kirati’s Father Passes Away, PM Offers Condolences


Sudan Kirati, the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, is mourning the loss of his father. Harka Bahadur Rai, aged 76, passed away today while receiving treatment at Bir Hospital, as confirmed by the Minister’s Secretariat. Rai had been facing health issues for a while and was under medical care.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ offered his heartfelt condolences to Minister Sudan Kirati for the loss of his father. Today, the Prime Minister visited Minister Kirati at his official residence in Pulchowk, where he paid his respects to the departed. During the visit, the Prime Minister expressed his sympathies to the grieving family and relatives.
Other government officials also visited Minister Kirati to pay their respects. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Minister for Urban Development, Sita Gurung, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, Minister for Health and Populations, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, and Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary, all came to Pulchowk to offer their condolences to Minister Kirati and his family.
