Yamlal Kandel Sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnali Province

Yamlal Kandel has been sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Karnali province. Taking his oath of office and secrecy before Province Chief Tilak Pariyar on Wednesday, Kandel embarks on his journey to lead the province.

The oath ceremony, presided over by Province Chief Tilak Pariyar, saw Kandel pledging to fulfill his duties with dedication and integrity.

Kandel, who hails from the UML party and serves as its parliamentary leader in the province, was appointed to the top post on Tuesday. His appointment came with the backing of a coalition comprising 9 lawmakers from the CPN-UML, 13 from the CPN-Maoist Center, and 10 from the CPN-Unified Socialist Party.
