Maoist Centre keeps all options open for new government
The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to keep all options open for the formation of a new government.
A meeting of the party office-bearers held Saturday decided to keep all alternatives including the alliance open for the formation of a new government.
The meeting also reviewed the results of the party obtained in the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly elections held on November 20, party vice-chairman Krishna Bahadur Mahara said.
Issues of election results that could not be achieved as expected on the party’s side were also seriously raised at the meeting, it is said.
According to Mahara, entire issues of the elections would be thoroughly reviewed only after obtaining the final results.
Mahara said that the current alliance would be continued but all options have been kept open for discussions. “It is not that we are quitting the Nepali Congress-led alliance, but we will hold open discussions with all for the government formation,” Mahara shared.
No view has been made to quit or break the ruling alliance, he stated.
Likewise, leader Matrika Prasad Yadav said preliminary discussions were initiated and the leaders put forth their views, but the leaders were univocal about the poor result in favour of the party.
